Since the leading mobile phone company in Sierra Leone, QCell, started operations in the country, it has stood the test of time to compete in the telecommunications industry, beating rival service providers in almost every aspect including but not limited to the provision of quality and reliable network, fast internet service, low voice and data tariff, expansion of coverage among others.

The provision of these quality and reliable services has undoubtedly attracted many subscribers to the company more than any other GSM operator in the country in addition to its fastest internet service. QCell has no doubt made name for itself over the year and half as a result of the commitment of the local staffs led by dynamic individuals leading both the networks and commercial wing. Because of their expertise, commitment, innovation and motivation, it has made the Company a very strong force to reckon with within this short period in the telecommunications sector in Sierra Leone.

As a company with so many experts with reservoir of knowledge, they have indeed revolutionized the struggling telecoms industry in the country with unmatched fresh ideas and new innovations.

As a responsible Company under the dynamic leadership of Visionary Chairman Mr Muhammad Jah and CEO Jayamani Karthik, QCell has created a lot of jobs for Sierra Leoneans especially young people in different areas in line with the country’s Local Content Policy. This has eventually helped to elevate the status of these Sierra Leonean employees financially to take care of their families.

QCell is on the lead in that direction and has received commendations from the various communities they are operating, the government and their numerous subscribers.

Considering their vulnerable situation, QCell has also maintained its support to women and children in different forms.

Like the company’s upright managers had always maintained, QCell is not only operating to make profit, but also alleviating the life of its numerous subscribers in the face of prevailing circumstances. In that regard, QCell has launched a lot of attractive products and promotions over the past year as a way of giving back to its customers, for which they have continued to express their thanks and appreciation, insisting that, they will stay connected with the company as long as it stays and operate in the country.

It is no secret that the company would not have succeeded in moving to this height without the tremendous support of the people of this country. The Company can now boast of covering more areas than expected during this pandemic in various parts across the country, thereby taking the network to the people. QCell’s contributions to their corporate social responsibility over the past year speak volume for itself.

90% of the workforce is Sierra Leoneans thereby implementing the local content policy enacted by Parliament two years ago.

QCell is indeed the pride of Salone.
